Kids Group Lesson
Theory and Practice
For the children’s class we use a collective method of teaching that is used in most sports. Specifically, we organize games and activities based on the developmental stage and child’s attention level assisting the children in having fun and gaining a base technique of surfing.
During the entire lesson, the instructor will be by the student's side, holding the board, helping the children to pass through the waves. In the first wave, the instructor will push the student lying on the board so that the student can feel the speed of the board. The instructor will monitor the whole process and is aware of the children’s emotional and physical needs. When the student will stand when they are ready. If the student falls off the board, the instructor will always be close allowing the student to feel secure during the class.
